DMAI is delighted to offer the Hosted Buyer program and reminds participants that this is an important business trip. While we hope Hosted Buyers have a fun and enjoyable experience, it is not appropriate to bring travel companions. If accepted into the program, your participation is contingent upon agreeing to the terms and conditions outlined below.
DMAI will provide these items provided the Hosted Buyer fulfills their obligations:
- Complimentary round-trip train or airfare on American Airlines—or a discount voucher for other carriers—to and from Washington, D.C. (arriving Wednesday, Feb. 24, and departing Friday, Feb. 26, 2010) or Chicago (arriving Tuesday, June 22 and departing Thursday, June 24, 2010).
- Two nights lodging at the headquarters or similar hotel.
- Certain meals as described for each program.
- Ground transportation between the airport and the hotel.
Buyer agrees to fulfilling these obligations:
- A deposit of US $500.00 is required to confirm your participation, which will be refunded following your completion of the scheduled program. Please allow up to 30 days post-event for processing refunds.
- Attend all scheduled activities, including, but not limited to these:
- schedule and attend a minimum of five one-on-one business appointments with sponsoring destinations,
- attend morning educational sessions, and
- attend key meal functions and evening receptions on Wednesday and Thursday.
- Once train/airplane tickets are issued in the name of the buyer, if the Hosted Buyer cancels, the $500 deposit will be held as a cancellation fee. The same fee is applies for no-show or not attending the required activities. If the airline tickets have any value, the buyer may use it for his or her own purposes, paying change fees as required. DMAI has no obligation to assist with ticket changes when a buyer cancels their attendance.
- Invitations and acceptance is non-transferable. We may allow some substitution before airline ticketing for a fee.
- All incidental expenses, additional accommodations, upgrades, travel insurance, food and beverage (excluding VIP dinners and keynote luncheon), and personal extras are the responsibility of the Hosted Buyer.
