Founded in 1916, the Association Forum of Chicagoland today serves 47,000 Chicagoland association professionals whose efforts serve 37 million members and 9 million donors. The Forum is the "association of associations" for more than 1,500 businesses, charitable, civic, and professional organizations headquartered in the Chicagoland area. The Forum's 3,000+ members are the CEOs and staff professionals of these national, state, and nonprofit organizations, plus vendors of goods and services to these businesses. The Forum provides essential learning, compelling experiences and powerful resources that advance the professional practice of association management.

Convention Industry Council
The Convention Liaison Council was founded in 1949 by four organizations to facilitate the exchange of information within the meetings, conventions, and exhibitions industry. Now the Convention Industry Council, the organization has grown to include 34 member organizations. CIC's members represent more than 103,500 individuals and 19,500 firms and properties involved in the meetings, conventions, and exhibitions industry. CIC offers many tools and programs designed to support the industry and meet its challenges, facilitate the exchange of information and ideas, and educate the public on its profound economic impact.

Professional Convention Management Association
The mission of the Professional Convention Management Association is to deliver superior and innovative education and promote the value of professional convention management. PCMA represents approximately 6,000 meeting industry leaders—including planner professionals, suppliers, faculty, and students. Aside from students and faculty, members are categorized as either a professional or supplier based on their position.

Society of Government Meeting Professionals
SGMP is a nonprofit professional organization of persons involved in planning government meetings, either on a full or part-time basis, and those individuals who supply services to government planners. Our objectives are to improve the quality and promote the cost effectiveness of government meetings by improving the knowledge and expertise of individuals in the planning and management of government meetings through education, training, and industry relationships. Represented in SGMP's membership are employees of federal, state, county, and city government, as well as associations of governmental employees and government agencies.
